Walkathon, health camp and cleanliness drive will mark the 111th foundation day of Bank of Baroda in Hubballi on Friday.

Marketing Manager of the bank Nitish A. and planning manager Praveen Kurade told presspersons here on Thursday that around 100 employees of the bank would participate in the walkathon which would begin from the regional office of the bank on Gokul Road and conclude at Kittur Chennamma Circle.

Mr. Nitish said that the free health check camp would be held next to the Bank of Baroda premises at Hosur in Hubballi opposite the NWKRTC Depot. In the health camp to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., there would be free general health check-up, including ECG and other tests, eye check-up and dental check-up, he said and added that Deputy General Manager of the bank T. Shashikumar would inaugurate it.

Mr. Kurade said that after the walkathon, which would begin at 6 a.m. and conclude at Kittur Chennamma Circle, there would be a cleanliness drive under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. “We will conduct cleanliness drive at Keshwapur and Vidyanagar too,” he said.

Mr. Nitish said that the Hubballi regional office of the bank covered 19 districts in North Karnataka and Central Karnataka and more events would be held as part of the foundation day celebrations. As part of the celebrations, cultural events by the bank staff would be held at the bank’s Hosur branch in the evening, he said.
