The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday launched a fresh attack on Water Resources Minister D.K. Shivakumar, with its State president B.S. Yeddyurappa accusing the Congress leader of instructing officials to withhold the payments towards contractors till “commission” is paid.
In his inaugural remarks at the BJP State executive committee meeting here, Mr. Yeddyurappa alleged that the Minister had issued strict instructions on bill payment till the “commission” was paid.
Mr. Shivakumar retorted soon after, saying Mr. Yeddyurappa was free to lodge a complaint and he would reply with documents. He said it was part of the party’s “vendetta politics” targeting him.
