Big Boy Toyz, a dealer of high-end used cars, has expanded operations to Mumbai as more business people opt for used luxury and super cars given that the top brands are available at lower prices, a top official said.

“We are bullish on the Mumbai market and depending on the response, we will open an outlet in Hyderabad next year,” Jatin Ahuja, founder and MD, Big Boy Toyz, said after opening a showroom at Andheri, its third in the country. “With the Mumbai expansion, we target a sales turnover of Rs. 500 crore in FY19.”

The dealer is eyeing Rs. 80 crore of sales in Mumbai over the next three quarters.

Citing the example of a 3-year-old Rolls Royce Drophead that costs Rs. 3.8 crore, versus Rs. 9 crore for a new car, Mr. Ahuja said business people find the used cars to be ‘value for money’. Similarly, a 3-year-old Ferrari FF is available for half the price of a new car, as it costs just Rs. 2.5 crore. “Our cars are 25 to 50% cheaper,” he said.
