I think KVS is the pioneer of Multiple Intelligence education in India and has redesigned the way it educates children. The system places equal attention on individuals who are gifted in the other intelligences such as Artistic, Architectural, Musical, Naturalist, Designer, Dance, Therapeutic and Entrepreneurship Intelligences.

The day in every KV begins with an assembly where students with Musical Intelligence are selected to play instruments and sing the prayer. At Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2 AFS, all programmes presented in the assembly by the primary school students are based on Multiple Intelligence themes. We also have a special item everyday where children display their talents, be it playing instruments, singing/dancing solo, or delivering speeches.

Students with Linguistic Intelligence present the news, special item, thought, etc.

The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be ignited, said Plutarch. So the Teaching Learning Process (TLP) is carried out through various activities (music, cooperative learning, art activities, role play, multimedia, field trips, inner reflection, surveys and more). Competitions like craft, drawing and rangoli (Spatial Intelligence), song and dance (Musical Intelligence), handwriting, recitation, debate, quiz, etc. (Linguistic Intelligence) are organised not only at Vidyalaya-level but also at cluster, regional and National levels.

Celebrations and competitions like Independence Day, Republic day, Social Science exhibitions, BAL Diwas, Cubs Bulbul Mahotsav, Rastrapati puraskar for Scouts and Guides and such activities hone multiple talents. Many activities appropriate to the interest and skills of the students are encouraged through clubs such as Math Club, Science Club, Integrity Club, Nature or Eco Club (Naturalist Intelligence), S. St. Club, Library Club, and Music Club.

Students with Interpersonal and Intrapersonal Intelligence host all the programmes. They are selected as class monitors, house prefects and club prefects.

Students with Logical-Mathematical Intelligence appear in Olympiads conducted every year. They participate in various sports activities conducted at Vidyalaya (inter-house matches), cluster, Regional and National level and SGFI. The new concept of Swasth Bachche-Swasth Bharat introduced in KVS also needs a special mention encouraging 60 minutes of play each day. (Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence). All these activities give children realistic knowledge even in out-of-classroom situations
