St. Anthony’s School
Students of St. Anthony’s School, Kompally, participated in Haritha Haram programme organised by the Gram Panchayat of Kompally. State Transport Minister Mahinder Reddy was the chief guest for the event.
Students took part in a rally aimed at creating awareness about the ill-effects of using plastic. They planted nearly 500 saplings and the management of the school arranged for the distribution of jute / cloth bags through the chief guest. Other dignitaries present on this occasion are – MLA Vivekananda, MP Kavitha, M. Hanumantha Rao.
Little Flower School
Little Flower School students actively participated in the ‘Telangana ku Harithathaaram’ programme
They sat in the shape of a sapling in their school on July 20, spreading the message of the importance of green cover on this planet. Later during the day, children took the initiative of planting saplings in the school campus along with the Principal, Rev. Bro. Hrudaya Kumar Reddy and other staff members.
Vanmahotsav at Glendale
Glendale Creative Arts Academy (GCAA) celebrated Vanmahotsav for a week from July 2 to 6.
It organised innovative programmes such as skit, storytelling, puppetry and Zumba to create awareness of about environment, pollution, importance of the 3 ‘R’s – reuse, reduce and recycle, among the students. In addition to that, the students of GCAA went beyond the school and initiated the cleaning of Tellapur road, spreading awareness among the shopkeepers.
