Tinder, a social media platform that allows two individuals to chat if they like each other, has introduced a new feature: Loops, a two-second video loop, which can be added to a person’s profile. Loops was being tested for iOS users in Sweden and Canada, and it is now being rolled out in the US, western Europe, and many countries in Asia and the Middle East. Videos and loops are able to convey more about an individual’s personality. It was observed that users who added Loops to their profile had more ‘right swipes’ (which indicates that their profile was liked) and they had longer conversations.
