Commonwealth Games gold medallists Anish Bhanwala and Manu Bhaker displayed their potential yet again to win the junior men’s rapid fire pistol and junior women’s air pistol gold in the 28th Meeting of Shooting Hopes international championship on Thursday.

Needing three points to win the gold in the final series, Anish produced a perfect five to beat qualification topper Matej Rampula of the Czech Republic by three points.

The 16-year-old Manu topped qualification with 574 in air pistol and went on to defeat Camille Jedrzeiewski of France by 4.6 points after the latter was docked two points for not reporting on time for the final.

Junior men: 25m rapid fire pistol: 1. Anish Bhanwwala 33 (571); 2. Matej Rampula (Cze) 30 (578); 3. Anhad Jawanda 21 (574); 6. Adarsh Singh 9 (568).

50m rifle prone: 1. Dragomir Matei Iordache (Rou) 6-24.8; 2. Artem Filippov (Rus) 622.9; 3. Marco Suppini (Ita) 622.6; 24. Sam George Sajan Ramesh 615.9.

Junior women: 10m air pistol: 1. Manu Bhaker 238.7 (574); 2. Camille Jedrzejewski (Fra) 234.1 (569); 3. Martina Marsalkova (Svk) 212.9 (568); 7. Devanshi Rana 130.4 (568); 10. Esha Singh 566.

50m rifle prone: 1. Nicole Gabrielli (Ita) 626.0; 2. Sheileen Waibel (Aut) 624.8; 3. Katerina Kolarikova (Cze) 623.2.
