Supporters of ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif clashed with police in Pakistan’s Punjab province on Friday as they tried to reach the airport where Mr. Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz were arrested on their return to the country in a corruption case, prompting police to lob tear gas shells and use batons that left at least 50 people injured.

PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Auranzeb condemned the police for using force to stop the party workers.
