Gordon Ramsay on his son’s first day at school
Gordon Ramsay has shared his little boy Oscar’s rant about the “s*** food” that was on offer at his primary school, after having a “disastrous” first day in education.
In trademark style, the 56-year-old TV chef shot back that his son should bring in his own meals – and fortunately mum Tana has been on hand to create packed lunches.
Talking to Michelin-starred chef Angela Hartnett and DJ Nick Grimshaw on the pair’s Dish podcast, he elaborated on how he’d declared Oscar’s first day a “disaster”.
“He didn’t wanna wear his blazer. He said, ‘Dad, it’s too f*****g itchy’, and he said, ‘The food’s s***,'” he exclaimed.
“I said, ‘BYO.’ He said, ‘What does that mean, dad?’ and I said, ‘Bring your f*****g own!'”

Straight-talking Gordon added that he’s found fatherhood easier to master as he’s got older, after having a “15 or 16 year gap” between his second youngest child and baby of the family Oscar.
All four of his older siblings are now in their 20s and only Tilly, 21, has followed in Gordon’s footsteps to become a chef.
Eldest Megan, 25, is a former Psychology graduate who now works as an account executive at Freud’s, while 23-year-old Holly studied fashion and went on to win a top modelling contract.
Her twin brother Jack joined the Royal Marines, while his youngest daughter Tilly has flirted with stardom after becoming an influencer and appearing on Strictly Come Dancing.

Gordon has rated 21-year-old Matilda as “the number one [cook] in the household”, and she’s even released a 60-recipe cookbook titled Tilly’s Kitchen Takeover, making her the only Ramsay to dabble in the cheffing world so far.
Meanwhile, elsewhere on the podcast, the Hell’s Kitchen star detailed how his wife Tana, 49, would “love” to have another child – but has faced opposition from him.
“I’d love another one [too], but five is enough!” he exclaimed.
“It’s like going to school or going out for dinner in two minibuses, and I’m going to be the oldest f***er at school. Who’s your granddad?”
Meanwhile, Angela praised how much she believes Gordon has matured as a parent.
Explaining that the pair had many nights out together “on the wine” in the past, she now believes he’s made quite the transformation in later life.
“We’re all a bit older [now], we’ve got kids [and] Gordon is superfit, cycles, runs marathons every day, will drink the water!” she joked.
