A friend of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Nella Rose has slammed claims she faked an illness to get out of the latest Bushtucker Trial.
Ahead of announcing which celebrities will be taking on the underwater challenge In Too Deep, Ant and Dec told viewers Nella, 26, was exempt from the challenge due to medical reasons.
They said: “Now unfortunately, Nella is being seen by the medic so she’ll be back later, but it means she’s now exempt from this trial. So let’s go in there and see who will be doing it.”
The moment led to many viewers claiming she may have faked an illness to get out of doing yet another challenge.
Nella’s friend told The Mirror: “The idea that she was faking or trying to get out of the trial is unfair and untrue.

“It was a minor medical emergency and it happened just before the show.
“They had to take her off to get looked at and couldn’t get her back in time for the trial reveal.”
It’s unknown if Nella was voted to do the trial, but along with Nigel Farage, she has been voted to do the most so far.
The latest Bushtucker Trial, aired in Wednesday’s episode, will be taken on by Nigel and Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard.
In Nella’s last challenge, she and Frankie Dettori failed to win any stars after she struggled to unlock any padlocks for stars.

Host Ant did his best to encourage the influencer, shouting: “Try all the padlocks Nella, try them all!”
A frustrated Dec chimed in: “You haven’t tried them all Nella!”
Explaining her thought process after the challenge, she said: “I was focusing on the coins and stuff so I was kind of like tunnel vision, but that didn’t work, clearly.”
As they walked away, Frankie said they “hoped” they got “another chance” to redeem themselves.

Campmates thankfully didn’t go completely hungry thanks to Marvin Humes, Sam Thompson and Tony Bellow’s efforts in their Misery Motel challenge.
The trio earned 26 out of 30 coins and transferred some into stars for the camp.
With their winnings, they managed to get some meals, a bar of chocolate as well as an apron for jungle chef Fred Sirieix.
